Coconut Crust Baby Hake. Tasty hake recipe for lunch or dinner.

  • Yields: 2-4 Servings.


2-4 Baby hake fillets

1 T of Olive oil

1 Egg

2 T of Coconut Flour

1/4 tsp of Sea Salt

1/4 tsp of Black Pepper

3 T of Salted Butter


1Preheat oven to 180°C.

2Place the hake in a baking dish.

3Grill the fish in the oven for 15 Minutes.

4Remove from the oven and grill the outside using a pan.

5Heat frying pan to medium-high heat.

6Add the butter to the pan until a little bit browned.

7Mix the coconut flour, sea salt, and black pepper into a shallow bowl.

8Place the hake fillets in the egg mixture.

9Place the hake fillets in the flour mixture.

10Add the fish to the pan.

11Fry the fish for 2 Minutes on each side until golden brown.

12Remove from the pan and place on a plate to keep it warm.

13Serve with lemon wedges and side dish of choice.
