Directions
Omelette
1Break open three (3) whole eggs in a bowl.
2Add 1 T of water to the eggs.
3Add salt, pepper and basil.
4Whisk the eggs until mixed thoroughly.
5Heat pan to medium-high heat.
6Add the salted butter and then the egg mixture to the pan.
7Add any of the cooked fillings and cheese to the one side of the omelette after the eggs have been poured in the pan. Usually after about 4 Minutes.
8Put the lid on the pan for about 2 Minutes.
9Test the side where there is no filling to see if you will be able to flip it, as soon as the one side is quite firm flip over to the side where the filling is and fry in pan until all the eggs are cooked.
10Once cooked remove omelette from pan by sliding it off the pan into the plate.
Fillings
1Chop all of the ingredients for frying as fine as possible.
2Pour about 1 T of olive oil in the pan.
3Fry all the ingredients in a separate frying pan until soft and crispy.
4Place the ingredients on one side of the omelette while the omelette is cooking.
Vegetarian option (Spinach & Feta)
1Wash and dry the spinach.
2Then boil the spinach for about 5 Minutes in a pot.
3Remove from the pot and dry out all of the spinach by using a sif.
4Use spinach with all the other ingredients when cooking omelette.
1 - Use water when preparing the eggs for the omelette as it will make the egg firm and not break when you flip it.
2 - Always test the one side to make sure it is firm enough to flip.
3 - Always slide it of the pan as it might break if your spatula isn't big enough.
4 - Always use three eggs when making an omelette.
