Bacon and Cheese Quiche

Bacon and Cheese Quiche. Best for a Sunday afternoon with tea.

  • Yields: 6-8 people


250g of Bacon Bits

2 cups of shredded Matured Cheddar

1/2 Red Onion chopped

1/2 Green pepper

4 Romanita Tomatoes

2 Cloves of Garlic

1 cup of Sliced Mushrooms

8 Whole Eggs

1/2 tsp of Dried Basil

1 tsp of Salt

1 tsp of Black Pepper


1Preheat oven to 180 °C.


1Fry bacon in a skillet over medium to high heat until cooked.


1Break open the eggs in a mixing bowl.

2Whisk the eggs, salt, pepper and basil until mixed thoroughly.

Onion, Green pepper, Tomatoes and Garlic

1Chop the onion, green pepper, tomatoes and garlic fine.

2Add to the egg mixture.

3Add Cheddar cheese and Mushrooms to the egg mixture.

4Add the shredded cheese and mushrooms.

5Place the mixture in a shallow dish.

6Place in the oven for 15 Minutes until cooked thoroughly.

7Serve with a lovely garden salad.
