Bacon Sosaties

12 rashers of bacon (3 rashers per bamboo stick)

1/2 green pepper

8 mushrooms, halved

8 Romanita tomatoes

3 tsp of Xylitol

1/4 cup of water

4 bamboo sticks


1Pour water and Xylitol inside a pot.

2Cut the tomatoes in half.

3Wait until it boils then add the tomatoes for about 3 Minutes.

4Constantly stir the mixture to make sure the tomatoes absorb the Xylitol water.

5Remove from the pot.

6Cut the mushrooms in half and the peppers into cubes.

7Assemble the sosaties.

8First the mushroom to keep all of the ingredients on the stick, then tomato, pepper and then a bacon rasher.

9Continue until the sosatie is completed.

10Preheat the oven to 180° C.

11Place the sosaties in a square baking dish, resting each side of the bamboo stick on the side.

12Leave in the oven for about 20 Minutes.

13Remove and enjoy with a nice salad.
