Bacon, Spinach and Mozzarella Bake

Bacon, Spinach and Mozzarella Bake. A great side dish or could be eaten as a main dish (portions will just have to be adjusted).

  • Cook: 15 mins
  • Yields: 4 Servings


50g of bacon strips

3 cups of spinach, drained

1 cup of shredded mozzarella

1 tsp of salt


1Cook or steam the spinach for about 8 Minutes.

2Remove from the water and drain using a sifter and make sure that all of the water is out.

3Add the spinach to a oven safe bowl.

4In a frying pan, cut up the bacon strips into smaller pieces and fry until golden brown for about 10 Minutes.

5Grate the mozzarella cheese.

6Add the bacon and mozzarella cheese to the spinach.

7Sprinkle with salt.

8Preheat oven to 180°C and bake for about 5 Minutes or place in microwave for 1Minutes until cheese is melted.
