Hollandse Biefstuk. Rich and very tasty meat that will have you coming back for more! Best to serve with a salad.

  • Yields: 2 Servings

Ingredients

Meat

200-400g of good steak

6-8 T of salted butter

1 tsp of course salt

2 tsp of grinded black pepper

Sauce

Use the butter above.

1 T of milk.

Directions

Meat

1Heat a frying pan to high heat.

2Add the butter.

3Scrape the meat with a tablespoon (do not wash the meat) until it is not longer wet.

4Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

5Once the butter is very hot (you will see the foam on top disappearing) then add the meat.

6Seal the meat and fry for about 4 Minutes - 5 Minutes on each side for medium (fry for longer if you like the meat well-done).

Sauce

1Remove the meat from the pan and add the milk.

2Let it simmer for about 1.5 Minutes.

3Pour over meat.

4Enjoy!

Wait for the butter to be very hot to get the best results.
