Seared Scallops

Seared Scallops. A very delicate seafood that is great for summer with a sweet taste.

  • Yields: 2 servings

Ingredients

300g of scallops (cleaned)

3 tsp of unsalted butter

2 tsp of olive oil

1 tsp of sea salt

1 tsp of black pepper

Directions

1Dry the scallops with a kitchen towl to make sure they are dry enough to fry.

2Heat a frying pan to high heat.

3Add the butter and olive oil.

4Sprinkle the scallops with salt and pepper.

5When the butter/oil starts smoking, add the scallops to the pan.

6Place the scallops in the pan and sear each side for 1.5 Minutes.

7Remove and enjoy immediately!

Do not overcook as the scallops can become very rubbery.
